It’s hard to believe that the current GLE/ML is soon to enter its sixth year of existence. Here’s what Mercedes-Benz is cooking up for the next generation. The proportions seem to have strayed from those of the last generation, instead opting for a more compact appearance reminiscent of the GLC. However, they do remind me of the first-generation (W163) ML.

Am I the only one here who thinks this line(s) gets worse-looking every year (or at least no better)? And the GLK (if that’s what it’s called) is awful. Even VW does better, and Mazda beats them all.

People don’t care. All they want is the badge and a cheap lease deal.

WHY DOES EVERYTHING MERCEDES EVER MAKE HAVE TO LOOK SO SIMLIAR

The GLK is indeed awful, but its successor (the GLC) looks pretty nice:
Personally, I’ve always liked the ML/GLE line, but that may be due to preexisting biases (I have one myself). But these spyshots are definitely a bit disconcerting...

Uhh... there is a decent amount of camouflage on this car, and I do not understand how you could come up with such a conclusion from that.

just the shape of the body and the outline of the lights point out pretty well that they’re same shape as EACH AND EVERY OTHER MERCEDES ON THE ROAD
